Who you are buying from
The products in this shop are made and sold by Base X Studio, a brand studio based in South Africa. You can reach us at hello@basexstudio.com.
Payment is processed by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. That means Gumroad takes the payment, issues your receipt, delivers your files, and handles any sales tax or VAT owed in your country. Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy apply to that part of the transaction alongside these terms.
Prices and tax
Prices are shown in US dollars and charged in US dollars. Gumroad settles every transaction in USD regardless of the currency you see, so if your card is denominated in another currency your bank may apply its own conversion rate and a foreign transaction fee. Those are your bank's charges, not ours.
Base X Studio is not registered for South African VAT, so no South African VAT is charged on these products and no VAT invoice can be issued. Where Gumroad is required to collect VAT or sales tax in your own country, it will add it at checkout and remit it.
Delivery
Everything sold here is a digital product. There is nothing to ship. Once your payment clears, Gumroad emails your receipt and your download link to the address you paid with, normally within a minute. If nothing arrives within five minutes, check your spam folder, then email us and we will send it to you directly.
Refunds
All sales are final. These are digital products. Once a file has been delivered it cannot be returned, so we do not offer refunds for change of mind. Read the product page before you buy, and ask us anything you are unsure about first.
If the product is broken, that is different. If a file will not open, a download link fails, a licence key does not work, or what you received is materially not what the product page described, email hello@basexstudio.com and we will fix it. If we cannot fix it, we will refund you in full. That is not a courtesy, it is what you are owed.
Two things this policy cannot override. Gumroad is the merchant of record and may issue a refund or lose a card dispute independently of us. And if you are buying from a country whose consumer law gives you a withdrawal right that cannot be contracted away, that law wins over this page.
What you may do with what you buy
Buying a product gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. The scope of that licence is set out in the licence terms, which form part of these terms of sale.
What we do not promise
These products are tools, not advice, and not a guarantee of any commercial outcome. They are sold as they are, on the day you buy them. We do not promise that a product will be fit for a particular purpose you have in mind, that it will keep working with third-party software it depends on, or that we will keep updating it indefinitely. Where a product page states a support or update period, that is what we are bound to.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and governing law
We may change these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you buy. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
